Hmmmm

Thhat was really just for the sake of having a title to this blog, and not because I'm feeling particularly thoughtful. In fact, really because I'm not feeling particularly thoughtful, and I couldn't think of anything else. Glad I got that one straight.

I worked from home yesterday for the first time in ages. Owing to having been so busy on Wednesday I didn't bring enough work home, and I finished by 2pm. Hurrah. Given the levels of pressure I have been under recently, I felt no guilt about knocking off then, and just blobbing out for the rest of the afternoon.

Also went to the hospital for blood tests in the morning. Worryingly they couldn't find my blood at first, and now have left two red patches in the crevice of my elbow. It looks deeply suspicious. I should get the results in about a week's time. Grrrr.

Quickie

given the time, this is just a quick post. Notwithstanding what it says on the right, I have now finished Far from the Madding Crown (and enjoyed it), and Birdsong, and enjoyed that too. Now I am on to War and Peace and will then have read the top 21 best loved books. Hurrah.

More later when more time.

Ha, ha, ha

I ws browsing Blogger just now, when I saw a blog called "Betsy's Blog". Naively thinking it might be by one Mrs Duncan Smith, I clicked on it. No, though.

Nowever, serendipitiously, a new blog has just been published: "Save Iain Duncan Smith's career".

Hee, hee, hee.

Racoons

I love to see that cornish racoons like cornish pasties. There is something about that which is typically English.

And, more to the point in some ways, why is the typical food of the racoon said to be a doughnut? I am confused. I have images of small racoon doughnut factories in the wilds of Dakota or somewhere.

Aaaaarrrrrrggggghhh

I just did quite a long post, and then went and changed my template, and then it has lost it all.

Pout. Sulk. Can't remember what I said. May try tomorrow.

October already....

Ok, my only excuse is that I've been on holiday. It may be a poor excuse, but it's mine.

We've been back since Sunday, and back at work since Monday. Can't say that anything much has changed, so I'll probably blog more when I can think of more to say. This is really more to show that I exist. Probably. But perhaps not if you can't see me.
