I've just got the results of my second essay back, and it's not as good as the first, which means it's a class lower. That's not the end of the world, but I'm disappointed.

I'm more disappointed with some of the comments though. They don't send you back the script, so when they say things like "you need to make sure that your footnotes are in standard format" you don't have a clue what it was that wasn't in standard format. When I'm feeling less bruised about it all, I shall contact them to comment that, actually, that isn't helpful as a learning experience. If they even gave a footnote reference it would be a start, but the written feedback doesn't even give you that.

I shouldn't be too disappointed; what with one thing and another, the essay was done in a rush, and was always likely to be the worst of the essays I had to do. Still I'm disappointed and cross.  ¶ 10:43 AM
