Self-important post warning
I am now a very important person. According to my boss I have the power of life and death over my colleagues (I think he was actually lying about that one). I am now Deputy Team Leader.
I think that may mean that I will officially know some of the things which may have unofficially come to my attention. The problem with that, of course, is remembering how you came to know something, and, at the point at which you officially know it, whether you should act surprised or not. So far I am managing by adopting a lofty air, and saying "I know" to everything, whilst fostering the image that I garner information from thin air. Image is, as someone once said, everything.
