There are two ways forward...
I think either I have to actually blog once in a while, or simply forget about this, and leave it to languish, and pick up cyber-dust. If there's such a thing. It sounds very disruptive. I am full of admiration for those who manage to blog every day. And say interesting things. Obviously, I'm less full of admiration for those who blog every day and are less than scintillating.
But anyway, news from chez vicks6: I have stared in my new team, and having the familiar feelings of not quite knowing what it's all about, coupled with considerable fears that I shall never be able to do it all. I suspect given a year, I'll be fine, and since nearly two months of that has gone already (I think a month has nearly gone when it's in double figures, before anyone points out that we're not even in the middle of February; yes,
hubby, I am thinking of you!) not long to go!
I did not like
Jacob's Room at all, but since no-one else did either, that was not much of a problem! The next book was
Going to Meet the Man by James Baldwin. Which was stunning, and everyone loved. Go and read it. Go. Now. Don't read any more of this rubbish, go and read James Baldwin.
I think I may also have got myself into
NaNoWriMo for next year, by dint of mentioning it to the wrong person at the wrong time. Or perhaps, since I need to stimulus to do anything of that nature, the right person at the right time. I should get in the habit of writing every day, so hopefully, if anyone reads this blog, there should be a little more of it in the future.
I am working from home today, but I am dividing the time between working, and feeling unwell, so I think I may go and have a cup of tea now, and not be very well.
Oh, and another book recommendation:
Join Me by Danny Wallace. He started a cult without knowing it...
