Challenge
I have set myself the challenge of reading the 100 best-loved books. I have a head-start, having read 46 already (47 if you count
Kane and Abel, which I believe I once read as a bet).
Unfortuantely, the remainder contain a number of books which I have positively avoided reading for some time, including a number of Dickens' novels. But I'm approaching the task with a sense that I could have been wrong about these books for a number of years, and that it may enrich me to read them. Apart from the Jeffrey Archer, which would only enrich him, hence why I won't read it unless I borrow it from the library.
I'm not setting myself a specific time by which to read them, but I shall try my very best to read the remaining 54. It doesn't
sound too many, but does contain some tomes.
Next comes
The Lion, the Witch, and The Wardrobe. Yes, I know I should have read it before, but I never did.
