I am unbusy at the moment. Hence this post at a rather unseasonable time of the afternoon, when I really should be getting down to something more productive. Save that I have nothing really much more productive to do. I have eight crates in my room, ready to be packed in order for our office to move. However, if I pack them now (we are moving next weekend), I really cannot even pretend to be doing any work, which might lead to trouble. And I really prefer it when trouble doesn't find me. I prefer to lurk in the background, watching whilst trouble alights on others.
Anyway, we are moving next weekend, which means that, since I'm on leave from next Wednesday, I have to pack the cases, they'll be moved on Monday, and then I have to go over and unpack on Tuesday. Well, actually, I asked to go over on Tuesday, on the basis that there's pretty much nothing more irritating than coming back from leave to find lots of work, and having to rearrange your files because no-one got them in the right order in the first place. That may make me ungrateful that anyone would be prepared to unpack for me though. I'm open to that suggestion.
I am profoundly bored at work at the moment. There is no real meaty work coming in, and there are plans afoot (of which I am being imperfectly kept abreast) to merge my team with another. I say my team, but I don't head it up, which is probably why I'm not too well informed.
Still, it's lovely and sunny outside, and in a week's time, I shall be at the Shuttle terminal ready to go on holiday to France. Life could be much, much worse!
